Description
The Medical Advisor provides medical expertise to support the development and implementation of strategic and operational activities for products, therapies, or clinical programs. This role bridges the gap between clinical practice and commercial objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Expertise and Strategy:
- Provide scientific and medical insights to cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, regulatory, and clinical teams.
- Develop and implement medical strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor developments, and advancements in relevant therapeutic areas.
Medical Affairs Support:
- Offer scientific support and training to internal teams on disease areas, products, and therapies.
- Review and approve promotional and educational materials to ensure medical accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and external stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships.
Clinical Development and Research:
- Support clinical trials by providing medical insights, reviewing protocols, and ensuring ethical standards are upheld.
- Analyze and interpret clinical trial data to provide medical input for publications and presentations.
- Identify and manage investigator-initiated research projects and other collaborative studies.
Regulatory and Compliance:
- Ensure all medical activities comply with local and international regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards.
- Assist in responding to regulatory authority queries and audits.
Educational and Communication:
- Deliver medical and scientific presentations at conferences, workshops, and internal meetings.
- Support patient and healthcare professional education initiatives to improve disease awareness and treatment understanding.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent); additional certifications in relevant areas (e.g., pharmacology, public health) are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum [X] years in a similar role or clinical practice.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry preferred.
