Pay rate: $30 Bill rate: $40.80 Contingent Worker TEC3 Lab Technician Role (-Experience in food industry developing procedures and managing lab equipment and ingredients inventory.-) Job Description 1. Conduct Facility Water Quality and Environmental Monitoring Program activities (microbiological, process, chemical and physical characteristics sampling assessments) 2. Support ingredient and packaging ordering/inventory management process for North America GDI Product Development Activities 3. Shelf-life extension program: support sample receipt, submission, shipping and other operational activities associated with shelf-life extension requests. 4. Lead design and implementation of calibration and maintenance program for Lab equipment. 5. Lead the lab coat and CO2 management program for GDI NA labs and product developers 6. Assist in special projects for the NA GDI Microbiology and Food Safety Team 7. Support Pilot Plant activities related to quality program for NA GDI product developers 8. Serve as a Safety Champion for NA GDI processing and analytical labs (analytical, storage, flavor room and temperature chambers) 9. Support the implementation and sustenance of the Pilot Plant Food Safety and Quality Program a. Maintain the records and activities related to the Preventive Maintenance and calibration program for equipment and analytical instruments b. Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all Processing equipment. c. Ensure cleaning and sanitation activities are performed according to the Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOPs) for processing equipment. d. Collate and maintain records associated with hygienic design and safety documentation for processing equipment, chemicals etc. e. Ensure all necessary documentation and records related to quality and food safety are completed and maintained for all processing lab runs. f. Maintain training records associated with the quality and food safety management system Technical knowledge: Food processing quality procedures HACCP training (internal and external) and ServSafe certification Food Safety Microbiology Workplace Safety Education: Food Engineering, Biochemistry, Food science bachelor. Good communication skills Digital tools such as Microsoft applications and power BI.
