Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Analyst to evaluate business requirements, design software solutions, and ensure the effective implementation of applications. The role involves analyzing system functionality, bridging communication between stakeholders and development teams, and supporting the software development lifecycle with documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze software requirements.

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements.

  • Work closely with developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure solutions align with business goals.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, system analysis, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including workflow diagrams, user guides, and technical reports.

  • Assist in testing activities (functional, integration, regression, UAT) to ensure software quality.

  • Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating bug fixes.

  • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements for efficiency, scalability, and security.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices to support innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Software Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio).

  • Familiarity with databases (SQL), APIs, and basic programming concepts.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and automation tools.

  • Exposure to cybersecurity concepts and compliance standards.

  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Agile (CSM, PMI-ACP) is a plus.
