Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Microbiology Lab Analyst to perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples. The ideal candidate will ensure all analyses are conducted in accordance with established methods, regulatory guidelines (such as GMP, GLP, FDA, ISO), and company policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological testing including bioburden, endotoxin, sterility, microbial limits, and environmental monitoring.

  • Analyze water samples (e.g., TOC, microbial count, conductivity) as per USP and compendial standards.

  • Conduct routine microbial identification using classical and automated methods (e.g., VITEK, PCR).

  • Prepare and maintain microbial cultures, media, reagents, and lab documentation.

  • Monitor and record environmental conditions of cleanrooms and controlled areas.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of results and maintain data integrity in lab records.

  • Conduct instrument calibration and verification as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Support investigation of out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend (OOT) results and perform root cause analysis.

  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure lab compliance with cGMP.

  • Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and quality protocols.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field.

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a microbiology or pharmaceutical lab environment.

  • Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and regulatory requirements.

  • Proficiency in using laboratory instruments such as autoclaves, incubators, microscopes, and colony counters.

  • Experience with LIMS or electronic data recording systems is a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
