Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection safely and efficiently
  • Verify patient identity and ensure correct labeling of samples
  • Maintain proper hygiene and infection control protocols
  • Prepare patients by explaining procedures to reduce anxiety
  • Handle and transport specimens to the laboratory
  • Maintain records of collected samples
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions (e.g., fainting)
  • Ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials

  • Strong knowledge of phlebotomy techniques
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Certificate/Diploma in Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)
