We are seeking a Software Analyst to analyze business and technical requirements, support software development initiatives, and ensure that software solutions meet business needs and quality standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to identify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and improve application functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Gather, document, and validate software requirements with stakeholders.
• Analyze existing applications and identify areas for improvement.
• Create functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and related documentation.
• Work closely with developers and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Review software designs and provide recommendations based on business requirements.
• Assist with application testing, defect analysis, and issue resolution.
• Investigate production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Validate system functionality against business and technical requirements.
• Support application integration and data validation activities.
• Analyze database information and perform basic SQL queries when required.
• Monitor application performance and identify potential issues.
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and software implementations.
• Prepare reports and communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Ensure software solutions comply with organizational standards, security requirements, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in software analysis, business analysis, application support, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of requirements gathering and documentation techniques.
• Understanding of databases and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of software testing and defect management processes.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of API testing and integration.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Postman, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of web applications and modern software technologies.
• Knowledge of security, performance, and usability considerations.
• Experience working with cross-functional development and QA teams.
