Location: Domestic REMOTE sourcing, USA 

Expected working hours – 8am -5pm PST (candidate can sit anywhere but must work PST), M-F 40 hours a week

Job Description:

This role will play a pivotal role in understanding and advancing Client's commitment to honor Indigenous peoples and to meet the needs of customers, government agencies, and partners through research, planning, relationship building, and program management. The Indigenous Program Manager will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, Client Indigenous Employee Resource Group (ERG) Leadership, community members and external stakeholders across US and Canada to drive research and build implementation plans on impactful initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Government Engagement

  • Research, publish, and maintain country specific reconciliation commitments in US and Canada and build action plan to address.
  • Drive narratives and reporting that support the Field’s ability to compete on public sector and enterprise contracts (RFP’s, RFI’s).
  • Build plans and narratives to support engagement with government, United Nations, and Enterprise customers, working across stakeholders including Accessibility, Skilling and Connectivity.

Product Inclusion and Cultural Preservation

  • Collaborate with Indigenous experts on cultural sensitivity and appropriateness of initiatives.
  • Work on inclusive design principles to embed Indigenous cultural norms and languages into products and services.
  • Explore opportunities for expanding Indigenous-led initiatives in areas such as broadband connectivity, AI toolsets, gaming, language, and cultural preservation.

 Program Management and Coordination

  • Provide clear and cohesive narratives that communicate the progress and impact of Indigenous programs to promote engagement across the organization.
  • Monitor program progress, impact, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and provide regular communication on outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working directly with Indigenous communities, governments, or related initiatives within U.S./Canada.
  • 3 + years of project/program management experience in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated expertise collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups to deliver solutions while managing through virtual teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Disciplined program management and cross-group skills, including the ability to get what you need from others while working around their own priorities.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to do the right thing under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to implement both strategy and tactical needs of the business.
  • Experience working with and influencing senior executives and key stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications or experience in Indigenous studies, cultural preservation, or community engagement preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving engagement and partnerships with Indigenous stakeholders and organizations.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous reconciliation efforts, government engagement, and procurement requirements.

Years of Experience Required – 3 years of experience in PM experience in a larger company.

Degrees or certifications required – none required, but preferred.
